Follow up: I want to make clear that this blog/website refers only to Richard J. Magee and the Magee Law Firm located in Clayton, MO. Richard J. Magee is the former mayor of Glendale, MO, a suburb of St. Louis, MO.

Further, I want to clarify that in my opinion Richard J. Magee is an impaired attorney. My purpose in creating this website is to hopefully insure that he never again injures a client that has placed their trust in him. From my observations as a client of Richard J. Magee he is clearly impaired. I observed impairment of his short term memory, impairment in focus and reasoning, inability to complete moderately complex tasks, inability to evaluate the logic of complex arguments, loss of judgement, and demonstration of irascible temperament.

I have utilized the orthodox methods to alert the public/achieve a just resolution to the misconduct of Richard J. Magee. Namely, I have filed a lawsuit against Mr. Magee AND filed a complaint with the OCDC of Missouri Bar, thus far to no avail. I have, therefore, found it necessary to create this website/blog to protect the general public from Richard J. Magee. Finally, it is my understanding that Richard J. Magee does NOT carry malpractice insurance. It is not surprising that no company would want to insure him!

This website is not associated with Richard Magee or the Magee law firm. I am publishing this website as a public service to ensure that no one else suffers from the poor legal representation of Richard Magee. I am a former client of Richard Magee that has suffered severely from Richard Magee’s misconduct. Please note that although I am a medical doctor, Richard Magee has never been a patient of mine, nor have I ever completed a medical evaluation of him. Any opinions I have formed concerning him are based solely on my observations of him acting in the context of my attorney in a formal attorney-client relationship. I hired Mr. Magee in 2015 to represent me in a dispute with a former business associate. After approximately two months of his representation, I decided that it was necessary to terminate him as my attorney because I felt his performance was unsatisfactory. He responded by harassing one of my other business associates, filing a lawsuit against me in St. Louis County Circuit Court (Case #16SL-CC01480) demanding that I pay him $2,285.45 even though he had not sent me a bill, and even worse… HE DISCLOSED THE DETAILS OF OUR CONFIDENTIAL AND PRIVILEGED CONVERSATIONS IN HIS LAWSUIT DOCUMENTS. NOW ALL OF MY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION IS PUBLIC RECORD, FOR ANYONE TO SEE!!! Furthermore, he filed a complaint against me with the Missouri State Board of Registration For The Healing Arts asking that my medical license as a doctor be revoked!! It is my understanding that Magee has had multiple complaints against him with the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel of the Missouri Bar. It is also my understanding that Magee has previously had a letter of admonishment issued to him by the Missouri Bar and that his law license is currently on probation by the Missouri Bar. Please see Missouri Supreme Court Case #SC97592. In that case, the Missouri Supreme Court disciplinary committee found that Magee failed to provide competent representation to a client by allowing his client’s case to be dismissed twice, conducted no formal discovery for more than two years, and failed to keep his client reasonably informed. This was published in an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch in 2019. It is my understanding that all of these revelations are public record and can be verified by researching the referenced court cases and by contacting the referenced agencies. Once again, I am providing this information as a public service so that nobody else has to suffer from Richard Magee’s misconduct. I invite anyone that has had a similar experience with Richard Magee to leave their comments on this blog.
